EVGA nforce 680i SLI server??

Hi, i'm about to buy a EVGA nforce 680i SLI, that i would build a freenas server on, should there be any problems with that? There is a processor in it with stock cooler, witch one i don't know, but should be a dual core intel something.

I presume you want to buy it because it's really cheap (it's 7-8 years old) and you already have DDR2 memory; otherwise you should pass.

That is exactly my situation , I have actually just got it. I don't think he noticed it lacked a cmos battery

Did you test it? The CMOS battery is required to keep the BIOS settings while the system is powered off, but it isn't required to test the motherboard.
