Hey everyone,

In the near future I wish to upgrade my single R9 280 to two 280s in crossfire, however my current PSU (Corsair GS600) is definitely not capable, nor is it all that good. So I was looking around and came across these two PSUs, both at a good price. I found the 750G2 for $140 on Amazon.ca, and the 850GS for $160 on NCIX.ca. The 750G2 costs $175 roughly, and the 850GS costs $183 roughly (free shipping).

I'm just wondering which I should go with. I've looked on Jonnyguru and the 750G2 received a 9.9/10, while the 850GS received a 9.5/10. I'm sure it's not much of a difference, but I'm just curious as to which one you guys would recommend. Any help or input is greatly appreciated.

Current specs:

FX8350 @ 4Ghz (hope to OC soon)
CM Hyper 212 EVO (possibly going to AiO soon, not sure yet)
Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3
XFX R9 280
8GB Kingston HyperX
240GB Mushkin Chronos SSD
3TB Seagate HDD (May get several additional free 500GB HDDs from work, probably put in RAID)
Corsair GS600
Random LED strips that hook up to a molex connector

Enclosed in a Phanteks Enthoo Pro

So again, if you have ideas or input, it is greatly appreciated. I'd like to know within the day if possible, as the 850GS is on sale for today and tomorrow, and I'm not sure about the 750G2.

Thanks,

Michael
