EVGA X79 Dark - Secondary CPU Power?

Hey guys!

I noticed that on my board (see title) I have 2 8 pin CPU headers... Why is this and do I need to use both? I'm running with an i7 4930k.

Also, the board has dual Ethernet ports... Do both need to be routed for the connectivity to work?

I don´t have that board but have seen a few reviews of it and what all reviewers say is: The second CPU header is there to stabilize your CPU if you are really pushing it OC-wise. And I am talking about liquid nitrogen type of pushing here.
