hi guys

been trying to use samsung data migration to clone my boot device to SSD.

It comes up with failed each time. when went to samsung website for it, it says about using shadow copy. and enabling this through disk management > services.

only thing is on windows 10 i cant find the services to enable this.


any help please

samsung data migration on windows 10 didnt even pick up my samsung 830 never mind clone it

i used the free easeus todo backup that cloned it no problem at all

Migration doesn't support Windows 10 yet.

i tried the easyUS one but it doesnt add Bootmgr. so fails the boot up for windows. any way around this?

i didnt have any boot problems

but if you can get it to command prompt

enter bootrec /fixmbr

and bootrec /fixboot
