Ryzen 7 7800X3D paired with the XFX Speedster QICK319 RX 7800 XT Core

I'd like some opinions and if anybody is familiar with that card, limme know what you think if you have a chance.

Thanks!

There is not a huge difference between different brands of video cards. Any card that has the same processor and clock speeds will get very similar performance numbers.

The main difference is going to be stuff like warranty and cosmetic stuff like fan colors.

The only one you have to be very suspect of would be if you buy from one of those sites that ship directly from china. Many times those are fine also but you do hear of strange stuff like cards that have been built from parts stripped from junk cards.

XFX is fairly well know and I suspect the card will be fine.

If you are asking for some other kind of technical performance recommendation you are going to have be a lot more clear about what games and resolution you use to see if that card will meet your needs.

I'm looking at a possible foray into MS Flight Sim, (which promises a trip down the Peripheral Rabbit Hole).
I have my eye on Helldivers 2 and Starfield. Maybe Outer Words. All at 1440p
I haven't build a new rig in 9 years. So the Ray Tracing aspect is something I have no experience with.
I don't think most of these game use RT but to my understanding I think MS flight Sim has limited implementation of it.

i will say this raytracing isnt strong on these cards at all.

they are only good for raster amd was late to the raytracing party when they didnt adopt it with the 6000 series.

im personally think rdna 4 will fix alot of raytracing issues. i dont think its going to preform better in raster but i think raytracing will jump up.

I think that sans RT support MSFS can run well, at least to what I've seen in YT.

what you see on YouTube and how it works in reality are 2 different things rt on these cards is weaker but its possible it runs better because there using a higher end cpu as msfs is very cpu bound.

i would go with 7900 gre. depending on psu and price its not as cut down and does better. depending where you live they can be similar priced.

What you say here is spot on with my understanding that MSFS is a CPU intense game. 7900 GRE is a card I've not considered, but is more expensive.
I really don't want to build the rig around one game.

heres the specs
https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/desktops/radeon/7000-series/amd-radeon-rx-7900-gre.html

https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/desktops/radeon/7000-series/amd-radeon-rx-7800-xt.html

key take aways

its on a better die 31 has more gpu power under the hood. going from 60 to 80.
more ray accelerators 120 vs 160

its overall better and roughly similar in power consumption.

just make sure you check whatever 7900 gre or any card that you check the psu requirements. as every card is diffrent from diffrent vendors. some are 750w some recomend 850w etc

Amazon does not even seem to understand what 7900 gre is. lol
My budget does not include 700 for GPU
