Exclude a folder from being scanned by any antivirus?

Hello,
I was wondering if i can exclude a folder or restrict antivirus softwares from being able to access and delete files within folder. To be clear im talking about restricting access for any antivirus (Company antivirus for example ) that i dont have the permission to exclude manually the folder.

I was thinking about the security tab (properties menu) from my home pc to allow certain users to access the folder, does this method work ?.

You might be able to do it with group policy if you have the Pro or Enterprise version of Windows 10, but since you didn't say which version, impossible to say. The answers you get are only as good as the info you provide.

I don't know about folders, however you can tell your AV to exclude particular FILES if you are sure they aren't malware.

You can also COMPRESS files (i.e. RAR) and they may not be scanned.

Unless you are a domain admin, you can't restrict AV from scanning folders. You wouldn't have permissions I would bet.

Yeah i have windows 10 pro version. so the security tab does the trick ? i allow my home pc only on full control and "Everyone" as read only ?

I don't think it will work as anti-virus/malware ran under system, not a user.
