expect your emachines psu to fail?

well what else would you expect me to think when i saw their 'enhanced' psu for $50. why would they put their standard in the pc, let it fail and make you buy an overpriced one thanks to their non standard size???$$$

No, eMachines uses a standard-size power supply, just not the standard you're familiar with.

The standard they use is called SFX and is found in hundreds of case styles, including several OEM pre-built brands and dozens of retail case brands.

Newegg doesnt' seem to know what SFX means, they have an SFX category, but most of their SFX power supplies are listed with TFX and PS/3 under the generic "Micro ATX" category.
