I recently finished building my new custom computer and tried running Doom Eternal. I can start the game between 90-120 fps but from time to time it drops below 20 fps. How do I prevent it from dropping and if possible how to I stabilize the framerate?
I have:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
NVIDIA 3070ti FE
32 GB RAM
MSI B550 A-Pro
EVGA 1K Gold

Drivers have been updated.

Here is a screenshot of MSI afterburner monitor of my most recent session. Right up until the red circle I was experiencing about 120 fps, the red circle is where it dropped to 20 fps mid match.

test with older gpu driver?
malware scan the system?
does changing detail level ingame make it better?
reverting to a previous driver seemed to help at first but then went back to doing the same thing.
Changing the detail to low then back to ultra seems to at the very least get me consistently around 60 fps most of the time, but that seems to be the only fix at the moment.
