Explorer Question

When I open Explorer, it always defaults to my C drive, and expands the
directory tree. I usually don't go to my C drive, but somewhere else.

Is there a way I can change the default so that it always opens to a
particular spot on a particular drive, or at least with all directories
closed?

For the former edit the shortcut's "Target" to read;
%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,D:\
where D:\ is the drive or directory you wish to expand.

For the latter edit the shortcut's "Target" to read;
%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
