Ext HDD showing Unformatted

Hello,
I have run drive tests the drive is physically and mechanically sound as far as I can tell. I need to pull files off the drive before trying to do much in the way of FAT/MBR/partition repair. Any suggestions for free software or inexpensive paid that will work on this IDE FAT 32 drive?

It probably just has a corrupt MBR, which often happens with external drives. I would try to repair it with chkdsk or diskpart ( http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770877%28v=ws.10%29.aspx ).
