I added a router on Ethernet as close as I could to a WiFi-connected Ring Stick Up Cam--then extended the signal further using a Ring Chime Pro (WiFi extender) in an outlet between the two. I still get disconnected regularly, for days at a time. The Chime Pro is 25 feet from the ASUS AC1200 through one wall and it's 15 feet from the stickup cam through an exterior wall and ceiling. There's a very long Ping time on both connections, and signal over -50db. Could something be interfering? There's a stereo in the room with the router and a refrigerator in the garage. I wonder if a directional antenna on the router would connect. Does anyone have experience with this? Repeated troubleshooting with Ring tech support fixes it for a few hours, then it's down again.
