Hello!
In my house I've got a router/modem downstairs, but the ceiling blocks the signal in most of the upstairs area. There is a single ethernet cable going from downstairs to upstairs and I want to mount some kind of access point upstairs. The problem is that I want to have a cable connection to my PC that would be in the same subnet that the downstairs router.
What should I do? Get a switch, connect downstairs router and PC to it, then attach AP to it?
Thanks for answers in response, I am not too familiar with networking so I appreciate any help.
