Hi. I have a ZyXEL VMG8924-B10A AC1750 router serving as my main access point. I have configured a TP-Link router in the lounge as a wireless extender to my PS4. I purchased a TP-LINK TD-W8961N router in order to do the same thing to my son's PS3. However, I cannot seem to get it to connect to the ZyXel in a wireless bridge mode. The PS4 setup works great, but the TP-LINK router there is a newer model. I can't seem to find anything on the net for it, can anyone make a suggestion, point me in the correct direction?

I did not. I should have done my research correctly, I figured since the setup for my previous TP-LINK router was so simple a similar device would be equally simple. My bad . . . it isn't. However, I did receive a reply from TP-LINK technical support and unfortunately, that specific router can only be configured to work with the same model.

TP-LINK technical support replied to my query and indicated that the W8961N can only connect to another W8961N router in WDS mode. It can't connect to other types of routers.
