Hello,
I have seagate backup plus hard disk (2TB),
from last few days it start acting like primary hard disk, also its status in disk management is primary partition.
whenever I delete file from it it goes to recycle bin also.
this is giving really trouble.
in last month it started acting like active primary partition but some how i solved it but now it is acting like primary hard disk.
I want to it to act like what actually it it i.e. external removable hard disk.

Hi again, Adwaitpinglikar!

Can you please somehow upload a screenshot of your Disk Management? Or at least can you share if there are any unusual partitions on it? When you installed your OS did you have that same drive plugged in?
Go to Device Manager and uninstall the drivers under the USB controller. Here's a tutorial that can help you with the procedure: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc725782.aspx

Hey there, Adwaitpinglikar!

I'd recommend you to try the drive on a different computer and see if it will get recognized as a removable device there.
I'm guessing here but I think you should check your BIOS settings and make sure the boot order is properly set. If you have booting from the USB ports enabled, I'd suggest to disable it.
Can you share a screenshot of the drive from Device Manager and Disk Management?
I think what i7Baby meant was to reinstall the USB drivers. Have you done that?
You can also test the drive using your HDD manufacturer's diagnostics utility, which you should be able to find on their website.
Test the drive and see what's the health and SMART status.

Hello SuperSoph_WD,
I tried on many computers but every where it is acting like primary hdd.
also checked BIOS and I never booted from USB so it is also disable.
I want to share pic but don't know how (it is asking about url so don't know)
i7Baby yes it is causing problems while booting it won't allow me to remove hdd.
I'll test it for sure.
