External Hard Disk is not displayed in My PC

Hi all,

I just bought a new Gaming Laptop(Win10_pro). It is not detecting my External hard disk in My PC of this new laptop. Although my old laptop is able to read the hard disk. The LED on the hard disk is lid and there no message from windows also that usb device not recognisable.

I think the USB port is just able to give power to the hard drive but not read it.

Please help me.... I have a 700GB of data in this Hard disk.

I replaced my Old cable with a new one and it worked. Sorry to bother you all...!! Thanks anyways.
