I just do the chkdsk /r on my external hard drive WD Mybook (on my laptop)

i accidentally close the cmd prompt

i shut down my laptop, and power it on, to test if it is okay
i plug in the external hard drive to my Laptop

it connected, i can see all of my file
after 20-30 seconds later it disconnect
and reconnect
i try to use WD lifeguard
it said (has to many bad sector) and cannot read hdd , disconnected

and then i test it on my gaming PC
i plug it in and i just did the quick test and it is okay
no disconnecting reconnecting
and now i'm doing the extended test

what does this mean ?

I can't advise you about that, I have no idea what your retailer's policy is. Without a receipt it's going to be difficult to return it OR RMA it to the manufacturer, since they generally require that. If you bought it with a credit card and it's less than 30 days old, the retailer should take it or you can get a copy of the purchase record from your credit card company or bank.
I personally don't care for the WD lifeguard tools although many say they are the same tests. I think possibly something is different in the framework. Try Seatools for windows. Run the short drive self test and the long generic. If it passes both, the drive is probably fine. If not, back up your data to another location asap and replace the drive. Drive brand doesn't matter.

I'd also try a different cable. If it's in an aftermarket enclosure, it might be a problem with the enclosure. Before you decide the drive is toast, try removing it from any enclosure, even if it's a fully self contained external drive that came in an enclosure, and try connecting it using an adapter cable. You might simply need to replace the enclosure or USB cable.
