Question External Hard Drive showing 0 Bytes free of 931 GB

I have an external hard drive, after defragmenting all the drives, it suddenly shows 0 bytes free of 931 GB. I can still access it, the files are all there and it still has unused space roughly around 100 GB left but I cannot copy files into it. What should I do? Your kind help is highly appreciated. TIA!

I'm running a windows 10 PC by the way.

Well - it is full.
If you want to copy something into it, then you have to delete something first.

Also - check Recycle Bin and if System Protection is enabled on the drive.

Well, I tried to delete a file and it gained free space so yeah, it is full,. But I am wondering how did it get full as I've checked all the files and it only totals only to 880 GB? so roughly 40 GB should be left as free space. Also Recycle Bin is empty and System Protection is disabled.

There may be some files, your user has no access to. They wouldn't get counted, when you try to determine used space.

Also possible file system corruption. If that's the problem here, then run chkdsk to fix it.
