Hello, on my external hard drive(Lacie GRand 1T) I used wrong power cord and now is not turning on, how can I recover my files using a mac. thank you.

Hi, the advice already provided is as accurate as it gets. If you're lucky the power board took the damage and the drive is okay and will work in another enclosure or inside a computer. If you're unlucky the whole deal is fried and your data is likely lost.

you may be lucky if the fuse/i/o board took the zap. your best bet is to open the case and pull the hard drive from the case. then pick up a usb to drive cable kit or another mac encloser and see if the drive spins up.if the drive does spin up you may have a chance of pulling your data off. if your mac has a case like a standard pc you can see if there extra power and data plugs for drives.
