[SOLVED] External Harddrive for both iPad and Laptop

Ladies and Gentleman,

Good evening,

Long time leach first time poster. I am looking to purchase a wireless external harddrive for video storage for both iPad and Windows Laptop. I travel a bit and WiFi isnt always available or ive reached my phones hotspot download limit. I as best as i understand would need to format in FAT32, is this correct and what semantics would be involved. I dont need a large drive 1 or 2 TB at most.

Any specific drive and insight in how to prepare the drive to fullfill my need.

Ive searched the forums, if i missed post/threads already discussing this topic i apologize and direction would be greatly appreciated.
