I have a new Seagate Backup Plus external hard drive (1TB, USB 3.0) which I will be using as a dual-backup for my PC and my PlayStation 4 in two partitions.

The PC will be using an NTFS partition and the PS4 requires a FAT32 partition.

Can anyone advise me on any pointers for doing this -- such as, can I have the PS4's FAT32 partition as large as I want? Or, for this matter, will it be any issue to just simply make the entire drive (both partitions) FAT32? Neither device is carrying any files over 2GB in size.

Solution
Yes, that's the best option I think. Make both partitions FAT32 to keep things simple.

As to their sizes, well that largely depends how much data you need to write to each of them, and only you know that, but I would think a 50/50 split is probably best.
