External HDD folder images only show up when using computer...

So i setup my external HDD with bluray Rips via my laptop. Made folders for each movie to find them easier and Changed the folder icon to the DVD cover image.

When i plug the HDD into my r7000 router via ready share the folder image doesn't populate.

Ive tried pulling the media server with my roku xbox one X and Samsung TV and none of them show the image. Is this not possible?

Network attached storage and direct attached storage are treated completely differently by your computer. The folder icons won't load on a network share.
