Question External HDD "Nonpaged fault...."

I have an external HD encased, this is a 320GB HD from an old Dell laptop, the other day when I plugged it the pc went on blue screen with message something like"Paged fault in non paged area", it kept on like this even when I plug it in other pc & tv cannot recognize it, help pls..

By encase I'll make assumption u mean USB enclosure... can attempt to remove SATA drive from enclosure and mount directly onto a free SATA slot and attempt to clean format it, then re-insert into USB case see what happens... if u feel like to.

thanks jsmithepa, did that, but it's the same, it will not read the hd even when directly connected to sata slot on the mobo, bsod will follow next, the hd has no screws that I can open to see the inside..there is a screwlooking head but the slot is round..
