External hdd USB type c

Anyone know when some hdds are going to come out with the type c connector? I need a 1tb drive real soon but don't want to buy one with a 3.0 connector when type c is coming soon. I saw that Lacie had one coming out soon but it looks massive. Anyone know if wd or any of the other companies have them coming soon?
