[SOLVED] External SSD not being recognized via SATA to USB adapter

I have a Samsung 250 EVO (250 GB) and I am using a ChiefTec Black Box CEB-25S-U3 to access it extenaly via USB.

Every time I plug it in the data USB cable, after a few seconds I get the message "USB device not recognized". I've tried with and without the DC 5V cable, and the result is always the same.

The device does not appear in the Explorer, Disk Management, Device Manager or MiniTool Partition Wizard free 12.1.

Does it work when connected internally?
If so then you are likely looking at the external interface being defective.

Yes, the SSD works perfectly internally. And I've tried the interface with a Western Digital HDD and it worked flawlessly.

The problem still lies with the enclosure. At this point it doesn't matter what that problem might be, replace the enclosure.
