Extreme Disk Overusage

So, basically I will start up my computer and it will run fine for 3-5 minutes and then bam, everything stops responding. I went into the Resource manager or whatever it's called and when it starts crashing the System is using 9 million Written B/sec. I just restored my pc like yesterday and re-updated everything. But this started being slow recently. (within a week) I dont know if it has to do with the restore or update but if anyone has helpful tips, please let me know! I forgot to mention because of the System or even Avast/Java sometimes with my other apps it's consistently at 100% Disk (C Usage. I assume this is why it's freezing/being slow/not responding.

Also wondering if a factory reset could get rid of this, also maybe any spyware/malware if that's in issue. I've been thinking about a factory reset recently

Well if you just restored it theres a good chance you have some bug or malware still on it a factory restore would rule this out real quick and then if theres still a issue you can move on from there.
