Hi! i just recently built a gaming PC, and have had it for about 6 months now. However, one morning after a big storm hit, my computer wouldn't boot whatsoever, no fans, no lights from LEDs, nothing. I did try to boot with CPU only with no GPU, still nothing. I tried clearing CMOS, but still nothing. HOWEVER, when i plug in my mouse via USB, the lights on the mouse (Coolermaster Storm Sentinel) light up just for ONE second, then dies. I went over and replugged every power connector to no avail.

Has anyone had this problem before?

(I'm afraid the storm may have been the problem here to cause the mobo to fry.)

My specs:

i5 2500k
Gtx 570
Gskill 8gb 2x4
Coolermaster gx 750w

Well, it was a really big storm. Lots of lightning and thunder. I'm thinking lightning could have probably hit somewhere near my house to cause a power surge. My computer was not on over night.

I RMA'd my PSU, thinking that was the problem, however, I just received a new one from Coolermaster, and the problem still exists.

I don't have any back up PSU's but I RMA'd my PSU thinking that was the problem and just received a new one and it works. However, the problem still exists.

I just tried clearing the CMOS, but still nothing. I do believe i'll have to RMA and get a new one :/
