[SOLVED] Extremely slow download speed on Origin, but 2 speed tests show that I should be getting much higher?

Im trying to download the latest patch for Battlefield V on Origin, but its downloading in KB / sec, which is incredibly slow. I decided to run 2 different speed tests, and the average download/upload speeds were 444 Mbps and 473 respectively. Nobody else is home, so im confident its not other devices slowing down the network.

Which speed test did you use? Using one from your ISP can give biased results. Try DSLReports, Google, and Akamai (EA uses Akamai servers AFAIK).

So, a fast speed test means there is nothing wrong with your equipment and the problem is the path to the servers or the servers themselves. Remember one thing ... when downloading from distributed servers (like Akamai), you will download from the one that closest to you (ok, that is a bit over simplified). You might end up on a very busy, slow server while people in the next town or state might connect to a less busy, faster server.
