Question Extremely slow internet speed all of a sudden

I've never had the best internet and normally get about 3 megabyte/sec download from my ethernet cable which is just enough to give me decent ping in most games.

However, completely out of the blue yesterday my internet speed completely tanked and is making all programs on my pc run slow as a result. I'm currently getting about 10 KB/s download on steam and my ping on games has gone anywhere from 200 to 2000.
I have no idea whether this is the motherboard and its LAN driver or the internet itself. I don't know how to go about fixing it and would massively appreciate some help.

My specs are
Ryzen 7 2700
3060 GPU
Gigabyte ab350n gaming WiFi mobo
2x16gb 3600mhz ram
2 250gb data ssds and 1 2tb m.2 SSD

All the ssds have got plenty of space on them none of them are full

Haven't don't a malware scan, what software would you recommend for that?

1. Scan your system for viruses.
2. Check your wifi/Ethernet driver and update it.
3. Clean your Ram.
4. Service Your System

Do a FULL scan with windef then run a pass of malwarebytes.

Test the internal LAN first to determine if the speed problem is on the internal network. If you're able to achieve full transfer speed between nodes on the internal network then the problem is most likely on your ISPs network (i.e. modem and its connection to the outside world).
