Are we really alone? Large numbers of neighbours say NO!
Pleasantview is currently undergoing a wave of alien abductions and UFO
sightings, if the latest reports can be believed.
Famously, Don Lothario-Goth claimed that Bella Goth had been abducted
from his condo, shortly before his ill-fated marriage to Cassandra
Dreamer, and the grizzly recent discovery of Bella's corpse by Meadow
Thayer-Goth, wife of Alexander, in their new home, has lead to further
speculation. The Caliente family claims to be descended from aliens,
but few put any stock in such claims.
But recently, the neighbourhood's sense of security in our isolation
in the universe has been rocked by wide reports of bright lights in the
sky late at night.
Darren Dreamer was the first alleged abductee after he moved into the
Goth mansion, marrying Cassandra. "It was awful," Darren said.
"I just wanted to work on my logic skill so I could become a Mad
Scientist. And then there was this bright light, and I felt something
pulling me up. I tried to hold on to the telescope, but there was
nothing I could do.
Dreamer claims not to remember what happened after that, until he was
found by his family sprawled on the footpath outside their home.
Cassandra Dreamer told Eye on Pleasantview: "We all heard this
terribly loud noise - I was pregnant at the time and quite tired,
hungry and needing the toilet, but we all ran outside anyway and saw
this big, glowing, saucer shaped object hanging around outside out
house. The noise was incredible; I could barely hear myself think!
And then a door opened, and my poor Darren was thrown out."
There were later sightings of Darren gaining a large amount of weight,
before suddenly slimming down. This was first attributed to the latest
weight loss craze, Pukefast, but soon visitors to the Goth mansion
noticed an extra addition to the family: green skinned and black eyed
Darian, what some believe to be an alien child, born a day later than
Cassandra's twins Mortimer and Bella. The Goth-Dreamer family,
however, refused to allow Eye on Pleasantview to take a picture of the
girl, being fiercely protective of her.
No more green children have been born lately; however, two Pleasantview
teens have reported similar experiences to Dreamer. Bridget Riffraff,
daughter of Brandi and Matt Broke-Riffraff, a fortune sim, strangely
developed a want to earn the Extra-terrestrial Compensation
Scholarship, so started to stargaze. Shortly afterwards, she also felt
the pull of the alien craft. She was returned a few hours later, and
so far seems not to have suffered any long term ill-effects.
And finally, just last night, Benjamin Goth (son of neighbourhood
patriarch Mortimer and second wife Dina), a knowledge sim, claims to
have met aliens, and hopes to do so again. "It was a bit scary,"
he says, "but that was only because I didn't know what was
happening. I don't really remember much, but if it does happen
again, I am SO taking my camera!"
Eye on Pleasantview hopes to gain access to any photos Benjamin is able
to take if he is successful in meeting aliens again.
