Eyefinity Problems, not res options

i seem to be having a problem with games that i cannot work out, my eyefinity is working i use it on certain games like anno 2070, civilization V, dirt showdown and grid 2 often, but with some games that do support eyefinity, the game recognizes it when i first boot the game but on the second boot will only do 1920 x 1080. first game to do this to me was red fraction arageddon and the 2nd sniper ghost warrior 2. its baffles me how it can work on first launch and for no amount of changing graphic settings can i get it to give me that optional res think its 5932 x 1080.

anyway if someone could shed some light on this situation i would be very much appreciative.

thanks btw these are all steam games and have tried reinstalling them.

little more info as my pc specs in the sig are wrong
i7, 7970, and 3 1080p monitors

to add i just found that eyefinity working in dx 9 but not 11 ? any ideas

changing to direct x 9 only fixed sniper didn;t fix red fraction.. so stuck with this
