Here are my specs
MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X
I7 8700k
MSI Z370 Gaming Plus MOBO
Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz 2x8
Thermaltake TR2 RC 850W
Coolermaster EVO CPU fan

I’m having a problem where the computer turns on, all fans spinning, but there’s no video. The EZ debug light flashes red between CPU and RAM for both of them and then repeats infinitely. There’s no video output.

I just tried installing ram individually and found out that the RAM slot 1 and 2 does not work while slot 3 and 4 does. How do I fix this? I’m suspecting it’s a MOBO issue but the MOBO is brand new and just arrived today.

1 Ram Slot 1 = flashing red LED CPU/Ram
1 Ram slot 2 = same problem
1 Ram slot 3 = works
1 Ram slot 4 = works
1 Ram slot 3 and 1 Ram slot 4 = works

Both RAM sticks are 100% working. The ram in this setup however is in unoptimized ram slots.
Does being affect performance greatly?
Also, could the board having to be OC in order to run 3200mhz Ram also cause the problem?

Please help

Solution
Make your own post to get help. But I'll say my first guess is you need a bios update you support a 9th gen cpu on your 8th gen motherboard which requires an 8th gen cpu installed
Hey, I’m having the same issue. I have no video/no post and the leds just keep blinking and looping from cpu to ram, if you guys found a fix let me know!
