Hi, I have a problem with ram which I have chosen for my future pc build. I have chosen the Tridentz Z rgb 16gb 3000mhz cl14 (b-die) but in its code name there is no X in the end (F4-3000C14D-16GTZR) and it is not tested in G.skill's site. So, will it be ok in a Msi X470 Gamimg Pro carbon with an ryzen 5 3600? Will it be able to run at 3000mhz? Because the next choice is trident z rgb 16gb 3200mhz cl14 (b-die and amd compatible "x" in the end) costs 180€ (50€ more). And I didn't want to go with the 3200mhz cl16 model which had the x because it was not b-die. So all in all, can I put the F4-3000C14D-16GTZR (3000mhz cl14 b-die) in my amd platform???

Ok, thanks. One last question: how do I select the BIOS version? Will it be simple by just finding latest version or by checking for updates? Because I don't know anything about BIOS (except that I can do some things to my pc 😂) Thanks again.

Go to manufacturer website to check latest version:

Version
7B78v29M(Beta version)

Release Date
2019-07-01

or at least newer than this one:

Version
7B78v26

Release Date
2019-02-01

Go into BIOS and there should be a System Information page with these details. If it is older than the one above, it would be best to upgrade it. To do that, download the file from the link, load it onto a flash drive, make sure it is on the root folder, then within BIOS there should be an area to upgrade BIOS and you can do so by selecting the file in your flash drive root folder. Make sure it fully completes by follow through with the procedure, once it restarts go into BIOS and load defaults then you should be on your way.

Let us know how it goes.
