See that's everyone's first problem, they are looking for news on FB... The only reliable news that exists today is personally reading the source material a writer cites for their politically biased and highly narrativized stories they call an article.
 
This is clearly to protect yankee corporations, Microsoft first of all and also Apple.

Microsoft is doing so bad for people, is no wonder Linux is getting more atention, specially in gaming market.

I know you're joking, but Linus isn't that petty. Not only that, but he works for the Linux Foundation, of which Meta is a big contributor. So, it would literally be biting a hand that feeds him.

More important would be the reputational damage. I'm sure he'd either be fired or most of the big industry players would just fork Linux and the Foundation (and Linus) would become irrelevant. Once you break trust like that, there'd be no going back.
