Failed power supply? Or something else?

So, yesterday while I was playing Heroes of the storm, my monitor went black, but I could still hear sound, control my character, etc. but nothing would bring my monitor back online. So, I rebooted. Get in another game, and the computer shuts down completely. This happens 2-3 more times. The final time I was just browsing the web, trying to find out if this sounded more like a PSU or GPU failure. The PSU is a Logsys 550 watt unit and the GPU is an MSI GTX 680 OC. They are in a system with an Asus P8Z77-M mobo, a Core i5-3570, an OCZ SSD, 8GB (2x4GB Patriot RAM), and an HP CD Drive. When I press the power button, absolutely nothing happens. No fans spin up, nothing. The only thing that is still working is a green light on my mobo.

So today after work I pulled the PSU out of the system and jumped the fan with a piece of wire to test it, and it did not start. (Method from here: http://www.howtogeek.com/172933/how-can-i-test-my-computers-power-supply/).

I have another PC I can test the GPU in if this sounds like more of a GPU issue, I'm just hesitant to put a potentially bad part into a known good system.

Any input?

Solution
The PSU failed...
The wire jump starts the PSU... if it's not running, it's dead. The mobo green light may be because the PSU is still putting out just enough power to turn a led (or a few) on but not enough to power the system.

If you want to test the PSU further; instead of trying your PSU on the other computer, try the other computer's PSU on yours.

I have another PSU being delivered on Saturday. I didn't want to tear apart the other PC to use it's power supply because I'd put quite a bit of time and effort into cable management on that computer. I installed the GPU (the other part I was suspecting) in the other computer though, and it has been so far so good. I'm so happy it was just the PSU.
