Fairytale about a Processor & Motherboard

Guys ,Michael here with a Q.

Can i use my newly bought intel i5 2400 with my brand new msi gaming motherboard Z94-G43 ?

And also , i'm having a intel(r) Core(TM)2 CPU @ 2Ghz at this time speaking , since i'm having to wait for my i5 , would this processor also fit with my brand new msi motherboard or not?

"Z94-G43" doesn't seem to be a proper motherboard model number. Can you double check that? However, as to the second number, there is no board compatible with both a Core 2 Duo or Quad, and an i5. Core 2 used an older, now obsolete LGA775 socket while an i5-2400 uses socket LGA 1155.

An i5-2400 is not compatible on that motherboard. The CPU is socket LGA 1155 and the motherboard is socket LGA 1150. You'll need an Intel 4000-series CPU, except for the 4800 and 4900 series.

OK, can you confirm that the CPU is a i5-2400? That CPU is NOT compatible with a Z97 / socket 1150 board. The i5-2400 is socket 1155.
