Hey guys,

I've been having a minor issue with the Fallout franchise wherein I'm dropping down to around 30FPS and having highs of 60FPS on 1280x720 resolution and the exact same issue on 1920x1080. It's also recommending that I have my graphics default set to medium. It struck me as odd considering I can run BF3 on ultra and get a solid 60-80FPS, as well as many other graphically demanding games. It sounds like a driver problem to me, but I'm somewhat of a novice and if anyone could give me any advice that'd be greatly appreciated.

My specs (in case it's relevant)

CPU: AMD FX-4170 Quad Core @ 4.2Ghz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7870 OC
RAM: 8GB Kingston 1866MHz
MOBO: Asus M5A78L

Try setting the games CPU Affinity to 2 in the task manager. Fallout doesnt play well on Quad Setups and gave me issues too. Worth a shot.

Only down side is you have to apply this setting every time you launch the game. There is a way to make it permanant , saw something about it on the steam forums.
