Hello. I recently built a new PC, and was running Fallout 4 with no crashes. Here are the specs:
MSI GeForce GT 730 Fermi DDR3 4GB DirectX 12 (N730-4GD3V2)
AMD FX-8300
Stock AMD CPU Fan
Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3
1TB WD Blue 6GB/s 64 MB Cache 720 RPM
Cooler Master Elite V2 - 550W
1x8GB DDR3 Memory
1 Case Fan
I upgraded my GPU to a Sapphire Nitro RX 460X 4 GB GDDR5. I ran Fallout 4 and started to have the problem of playing the game for about 5 mins, and then my PC would randomly reboot. All other programs, such as Chrome, Skype and Steam are working fine. I am not an expert so I can't tell if my CPU is overheating, but I think that my PSU is the problem. The PSU is only 22 days old. I do leave my PC running at night. I run Fallout at High Settings, 1920x1080. I tried lowering the settings, and the game would run longer but I still ran into the same problem. I really don't want to have to buy a new PSU, so please don't suggest that option unless you think it is the only option that would help. Thank you.
