sooooo im going to pick up a 780 SC 3gb today at microcenter for 197$ buuuuut i run a fx 6300? bottleneck? anyone?

Some bottleneck yea. You'll need to OC to atleast like 4.3 or 4.4Ghz to minimize bottleneck, but you will still have some in CPU intensive games. But it shouldn't be too much with the OC.

the fx 6300 is only for 4 months. tax return will be something better.

It is not "bad" by any means.
With a decent OC it wont bottlenck the 780 at all. A heavily OCed 6300 can handle a 970, which is 15% faster than the 780.
