Question Fan Bearing Failure on Msi 3070ti, Can I still use it?

So I have a MSI Ventus 3x oc 3070ti and just a few days ago i started noticing my card's been running hotter then normal (around 80c with a mild overclock) and upon further investigation it seems the fan bearings have gone bad and locked up the fan closest to my display outputs and is starting to spread to the middle fan as that one seems to not spin as freely as the third and final fan which spins just fine. Can I still use the gpu in its current state without causing any real damage to anything else until the replacement fan set arrives?

I would not do so.

Failures can be gradual or sudden as is in catastrophic.

Fan fails, no cooling, sudden heat up, component(s) destroyed.

Especially if any oc is involved.

You may be fortunate to have gotten some warning via higher temperatures and discovering the fan bearing problems.

Do not push your luck. Wait for the replacements.

And review your backup/recovery plans in the meantime...... Important data being regularly backed up - correct?

Just my thoughts on the matter.

You can continue to use the GPU. However, I would avoid using it for any heavy loads. Using it for web browsing, basic productivity work, or other light, general PC use will be perfectly fine. Most of the time in these cases, the fans arent being used anyway, if your card has a Zero RPM mode. I would avoid gaming or heavy workloads though. Your GPU should protect itself and the rest of the computer from total failure if the fans died while under heavy load, but its a risk to take. If the fans fully die doing basic tasks, you will have time to catch the temperature rise before it reaches a dangerous level and power off the computer.

I figured as much from the advice others have also given me on the issue. Although 2 fans out of the on the card still work enough to provide some degree of cooling I still didn't want to chance it if they up and failed as well during a gaming session. I use msi afterburner to monitor and do my overclocking on it so I managed to catch the issue early on, I've since put it back in the box and swapped in old faithful, An RX570 I still had laying around from a previous pc build. I appreciate the extra thoughts on the matter guys.
