[SOLVED] Fan hub and argb hub

Hi y’all!
I started building my first pc and I found out I need an argb hub. Now I already have an fanhub from the brand Arctic. Do I need to buy an argb hub from the same brand or does that not matter?

Solution
With a mobo that has the correct type of lighting header you can control the lights by software supplied free with the mobo. When you buy a third-party lighting hub of the correct type (ARGB for you), how you control depends on the hub design. There are three common ways:

  1. Manual via a box with buttons on a cable. The cable must connect to the Controller box inside your case.
  2. Manual via a box with buttons, but it is a battery-powered hand-held remote control that uses radio signals to communicate with the controller, so you use it free of cables etc.
  3. Some Hubs come with their maker's own software utility that you install and use to control the lights. Typically you connect a cable (supplied) from the Controller box to a...
Does not matter as long as everything connects correctly. the HUB simply gives power to your ARGB. As long as it's all connected and hook into power (usually sata power) with the hub being connected to the motherboard, you are golden.
