Hello,

Before reading anything else please understand that I am a complete newbie to watercooling, or any cooling in general.

I recently decided it was time to upgrade from a stock cooler to H100i V2 CPU cooler. When setting up I could not understand which way my fans were suppose to be blowing when I mounted my radiator to the front of my case.

I ended up placing my fans in front of the radiator so that they would intake clean, cool air from outside of the case and blow it into the radiator. Is this the correct position for the fans? Should I keep them in their current position where they are sucking in air from my room and blowing it into the radiator or should I have them suck air in from the interior of the case and blow air into the radiator that way?

Solution

The way you have it is just right.

Would you say these are appropriate temperatures for CPU and water temperature while idling? I made a custom made fan curve as seen in the screenshot below as the fans while gaming made a HUGE amount of noise almost like a motor.

My fan curve:

35°C - 37%
41°C - 42%
50°C - 50%
60°C - 60%
70°C - 75%
80°C - 85%
