[SOLVED] FAN RPM

Solution
Right now, its at 200 RPM, which is the lowest setting. I think its kinda slow. The desktop inside is kinda crowded. I was wondering if I could up the RPM.
It will never hurt anything to up the RPM...except you get more noise.
What are your temps?
My CPUs idle in the 30s and under load are in the 60s.
What rpm should the computer fan be at? Are there any bad effects if its at maximum rpm?
I can't give you a specific answer as far as fan speed because there are so many different variables involved....like what CPU?......what cooler?....what case? etc.

As far as question #2... the main bad effect of running a fan at maximum is noise in my opinion.
The fans are designed to run at maximum speed for a very long time so I wouldn't "not run them at max" because I was worried about wearing them out.

Hi, its a i5 6th gen cpu, old desktop. I have a Be-Quiet Fan.

There really is no correct answer to how fast a fan should go....other than maybe ....fast enough to keep things cool.
Why do you ask?
How fast is your fan spinning?
My stock fan spins at about 1600 RPM idle.

4 pin pwm fans better than 3 pin fans if you want a quiet system. if you got a newer motherboard you can in most cases set a fan curve in the bios how hight it can go. you can also set it to work at higher rpm than 200 at the low settings.
