fan seems to make a weird sound.

sorry if this is in the wrong category.


On my new pc when i turn it on it makes a weird sound which i think comes from the fans on the back of the case. its a "wirring" sound and sounds like the fans get louder and then quieter again.
I don't know if this will make a difference but i don't have the side panel on my pc.

Check that are all the wires in the case is properly arranged (i.e. no wire is touching any fan). Another solution is to take out the fan and check it. If you doubt some of the fan then take out it and spin it manually by your hand and check whether it makes noise.

is the fan attached to the case with screws? if so the case could be amplifying the vibrations. try some rubber anti-vibe fixings.
