I am looking to do a fanless, silent workstation something like this:

Case: Silverstone GD08
CPU: Xeon i7 5820k
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U9S (no fan)
GPU: Asus Strix 980x GPU
Case fan:
Noctua NF-P12 PWM x4
- 2 installed at the bottom, pull air into build
- 2 installed at right side panel, closet to CPU, pull air out
Noctua NF-A8 FLX x2
- 2 installed at the back, closest to CPU, pulling air out.
PSU: Silverstone Nightjar Series NJ520
MOBO: Asus X99 WS/3.1
RAM: 32GB Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4-2667mhz kit
OS SSD: Kingston HyperX Predator M.2 PCIe SSD 520GB
Other Storage SSDs: Samsung 850 EVO PRO 1TB x 2
Other accessories:
Pioneer CD/DVD Bluray R/RW optical drive
Silverstone 120mm Ultra Fine Fan Filter with Magnet Cooling FF123B (Black) x 6
- replace default screens at all existing and uncovered fan mounts
SilverStone 80mm Fan Filter with Grill FF81B (Black) (to fit right side panel) x 2
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

My issue is setting up the fans. The above is currently one potential outcome. But what would be the optimal way to set up the fan?

I have been stuck on this issue for some time I'd be grateful for some suggestions.
Many thanks in advance.

Solution
My suggestion is to use two good 120mm intake fans installed at the bottom.
Let the air get out where it may.
Adding extra exit fans tends to draw in air from where you don't want it.
You will not have a silent build because all fans make noise, and your parts are hot enough to require good cooling.
Do not bother with 80mm fans. They need to turn at noisy high rpm to do any good.
I would suggest a GTX980 card with a blower cooler that sends the hot air more directly out of the case.
I don't know if you have sufficient height for the NH-U9S. If you do, use a fan on it so your cpu gets proper cooling. The cpu is a hot 140w chip.

If you want a quiet work station do some research at www.silentpcreview.com...

I suspect you will find better case options.

If you want small, that is another matter.

Solution
Thanks for that. The GD08 is the only case I have come across that happens to fit the cabinet area I have, which also comes with an optical bay....I chose the Strix 980 because of the 0rpm feature.

I thought about just installing the CM Nepton 240, with the radiator fitted at the bottom of the case, (not sure of direction though)
I also thought about water-cooling the 980 by adding a bracket in time.

Do you think that 520W PSU can handle all that? Thanks.
