Fan speed issue.

I have a i5370k CPU with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 heat sink with 1 fan. I'm having an issue with controlling fan speed with my motherboards bios, can anyone recommend a program and more or less fan settings for the program. Thanks in advanced!

I would recommend SpeedFan.

1) Once installed, click Configure > Advanced.

2) Open the drop-down menu, and select IT8728F at $A30 on ISA (This is your CPU, it may be different for your system!)

3) Highlight PWM 1 Mode, and at the bottom select Set to > Software Controlled. (Default is ON/OFF.)

4) Once completed, hit OK.

You should now be able to change the fan speed. (PWM 1, near the bottom. 1-100%)


Also, what motherboard are you currently using? Just curious.
