Question Fan wiring question

I have a Cooler master MB520 that has 3 RGB fans in the front and I have the MSI Tomahawk MB. My problem comes from the lengh of the power wires from the fans not reaching the System fan sockets on the MB. The case came with a connector that the fans connect into a power plug (2 pins). I am guessing that if i use that power connector to the PSU the fans will stay on constantly. Is that correct??

I have a 2>1 3 pin adapter, would that be a workable fix? I would order an extension but really want to finish this build this weekend so i can ship it to my son. Or would that not be a good way to run the fans?

I've seen a number of people already who have misinterpreted what the wires/cables were and even fried their board and components. It'd be a good idea to parse some images of the connectors, headers and wires you're looking to connect in your system.

Host the images on Imgur and then paste the links here for us to see.

List your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:

MSI have had the Tomahawk moniker/series in their portfolio for a long while, which one do you have? It's why we ask people to be specific about their parts in their specs list.

The RGB control wires are also connected to a 3-1 harness that is connected to the RGB connector on the mother board.
