So I'm using the Enthoo Primo as my case for my watercooled system and I'm going to be having 1 rad in the top with 3x 140mm fans and then a rad in the bottom with 4x 120mm fans.

My problem is, will the 3 included 140mm fans be any good at blowing through the radiator at low rpms between 400 and 100 rpm. They are static pressure fans and go down to 250rpm but will they still be able to get through the rad if its 45mm thick and has a density of 10fpi?

Another question is can the included fan hub control both DC and PWM fans because I'm going to be using cheap Yateloon fans on the bottom rad and want to turn them right down. It says it's a PWM controller but I don't know whether this will be able to control DC fans.

Lastly, can I turn of the fans completely if I'm hardly doing anything like just browsing the internet? I'm a bit of a noise freak and don't mind my temps being a bit higher so long as it super quiet.

Solution

The fans will work on the hub even if they are not PWM fans. You can set the CPU fan in bios to quiet mode which will make the rest of the fans hooked up to the hub quiet because the pwm signal is coming from the CPU fan header.

Right, so if I get those but the non PWM version will I be able to control the speed still? Also can I turn the fans off completely through software or just down to 40% ?
