Hi all, just finished my build and I am gonna finish up the cable management this weekend. Out of curiosity would you all suggest connecting the case fans to the MOBO or the PSU??

Specs:
PSU: Corsair HX650
Case: Coller Master Haf X
MOBO: Sabertooth z77
CPU i7-3770K
GPU: EVGA 550ti

I do plan on overclocking, I have an H80i hooked up. Lemme know your thoughts cause my researched has turned up bout half say mobo half say PSU

Thanks!

if its a 3 pin fan, it wouldn't matter much since it will run at full speed connected to either. if its a 4 pin fan, connect it to the mobo since you can control it.

Personally, if its 3 pin, I would connect it in a way where that the least of the cable would be shown.

Some (most?) motherboards can control 3 pin fans properly. If yours is one of these, then definitely connect to the motherboard, and set up speedfan/whatever to control the fan speeds.

No reason to connect direct to the PSU and have to put up with 100% fan speed at all times.
