So, few days ago I got my PC parts for my first computer system. I looked on the internet for tutorials and set it up on my own but I have a problem. I have the Aqirys Wezen case that comes with 4 RGB fans and a controller + a remote control for the RGB and fan speeds. There is also a button in order to sync the fans with the motherboard but I was not able to connect the controller to the SYS_FAN, I mean I connect it but it doesn't recognize my fans, I have the Gigabyte H410M H V2. All I have connected are the fans to the controller and the controller to the PSU.

Anyway, the thing is that when I turn on my PC the fans RGB will turn on but they will not rotate. The only way I can make them spin is by pressing Fan Speed button on the remote control. When I put the PC to sleep and open it again the fans will spin normally, but if turn off the PC and then turn it on again I will have to turn them manual again. For the first 2-3 days when I was turning on the PC only the fan from the back and one from the front panel were spinning, in order to make all spin I had to use the remote control, however, now when I turn on the PC all fans are stopped.

I would love to make them spin when I turn on my PC, so that I don't have to use the remote control. So I hope someone could help me, thanks.

Yes, I know about Smart Fan 5, it's right in the bios, here are some photos: View: https://imgur.com/a/ULz5FEa

But, as you can see, just the CPU fan is recognized, and the SYS_FAN it shows 0 RPM.

Yeah, I understood about the 0 RPM/ N/A the first time.

Only thing to try is choose the SYS_FAN option using the drop menu (do it anyways even if it says 0 rpm or N/A), then see if you can set Fan Speed Control to Normal or Auto.

If you can't then I guess Im missing something or, as I wrote already, that HUB of yours is in the way (and theres nothing else I can do if thats the case).
I believe this is your case: https://www.aqirys.com/product/wezen-black, scroll down to Downloads and open the Hub controller user's manual.

The hub diagram shows that "E" is the PWM plug (cable) to the motherboard sys_fan. I do not know if the case included a cable for this function, be sure to use the right one, the cable shown in the diagram seems to be a diasy chain cable with at least 3 different plugs on one end.

Be carefull while doing this and always turn off the PC and unplug the power cord from the wall socket.

Yes, that's the case.

I did that, in the manual it says that the 3pin cable is for Gigabyte motherboards. However the sys_fan has 4 pins, just like the slot for cpu fan. I tried to put both 4pin and 3pin cable on the motherboard but it doesn't show me the sys_fan in bios, I mean it shows but with N/A.

The thing is that I saw some guy building a PC in this case and he didn't plug the controller into the motherboard and still the fans were spinning.

I think you may be confusing the ARGB or Digital plugs with the PWM fan connector.

On the cable you should have 1 plug into the HUB and on the other end 3 different plugs, two of them are for RGB (ARGB and Digital), and the third one is for the fans PWM.

Also you may need to press the AUTOFAN key on the remote control to activate the right mode.

Maybe, it's a little over me but maybe you can help me to fix it.
So, when I press the AUTOFAN key the fans stop (I think that's because they are not connected to the motherboard?).
Here's the hub controller, the wires with red are going to the PSU, the green ones are the front fans and the orange one is the fan from the back. ( View: https://i.imgur.com/YiGjPaK.jpg
)
Next is this photo, a top-down view, I don't know what the last slot is for ( View: https://i.imgur.com/pSSiwWO.jpg
)
And now, the last image shows the 3 wires that are coming out of the hub ( View: https://i.imgur.com/sluRkXu.jpg
), I think I put the letters correct.

Is the G cable the one that should go in the SYS_FAN slot?

Thanks for the pictures, Im having a little of a hard time looking to the last one since all the plugs are closed togheter with a black background.

If you put the letters in the right way, according to the manual the cable that should go into the SYS_FAN header on your mobo is the E one.

I can not be 100% sure since I can't really see the plug in that picture.

Also the AUTOFAN button on the remote will do not do all it can do unless the proper connector is plug into the motherboard SYS_FAN header.

I think we made some progress now. So I plugged the "E" cable into the motherboard and I pressed the AUTOFAN button on the remote control. Now, when I turn on the PC the fans spin, which is great! Still, there is a problem. The fans can be set (from the remote) on 2 speeds, one that is loud and has high RPM and one that is silent and has a lower RPM. Now, when I turn on the PC the fans will spin but at the higher RPM, and it's loud. Normally I set the fans at the lower RPM, which I can still do but again, using the remote.

I have a software from Gigabyte where I can set the RPM to my CPU fan (I already did that) and my SYS_FAN but the fans are not showing, not even in bios. Do you know what I can do? View: https://i.imgur.com/pFp0HXw.png

Also, I want to mention that when I press the M/B Sync button the lights turn off, I don't know why is that.

You are mixing two different things.

1. The motherboard BIOS is probably showing SYS_FAN as N/A (not available) because you are using a HUB. Thats not a direct connection to the fans.

Let see how I keep the this simple... Just because you finally plug the right cable from the hub to the mobo header, and the fans are now spining whent he PC is turn ON, it does not mean the motherboard will be able to control the fan speed (it has to go over the hub, and perhaps the hub does not allow this kind of function).

Gigabyte BIOS should have an option to control the fans (which because of what I wrote up there may or not work), I think is called Samrt Fan 5, get in there and see whats set for the SYS-FAN, it should be set on something like AUTO or NORMAL (look for it on your motherboards manual: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_h410m-h-v2_e.pdf).

---------------------------------

2. Another different thing is the M/B Sync buton, this button on your remote control is used to let the motherboard control the RGB. For this to work you need have the porper cable plug into the right RGB header on your motherboard. This has nothing to do with fans or fans speed control.

I also heard some guy saying that usually plugging the HUB into the motherboard can cause the wire to melt. Is that true? He builds PC for years now.

Yeah ok, got it. I changed the settings to silent, normal, fast, etc. It doesn't work at all. Anyway, thanks for your support man.

I might have another question tho. In the case manual it says that "G: Digital Pin Header connector for Gigabyte motherboards". This G cable has 3 pins, what is with it? Should I plug this instead of the 4 pin one?

Im guessing that cable has something to do with RGB too (https://www.gigabyte.com/Microsite/494/features_style.html). Perhaps is used to sync the lights with your mobo (View: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/aah1rw/a_clarification_on_addressable_rgb/
).

Im not sure Ive seen a motherboard latley with a 3 pin digital header anymore. Perhaps is something kinda old?

And, last thing if you don't mind...If I unplug the HUB from the MB the fans will not spin when I turn on the PC (as I said first). But there's a thing however, sometimes when I turn on the PC only one or two fans will spin, why's that?

I can't say for sure. I could guess, but that will be only that, a guess. You could try sending an email to the case maker, perhaps they have some sort of support team for this types of questions.
