*FAST HELP* Computer Exploded (Almost)

So today computer randomly shut off i tried to turn it on it did not turn on. So i removed the Power Cable and plugged the Power Cable in to other power plug/socket or what is it called in the wall. It still did not work i tried changing one more time and then computer did some *Sshshsh* Sound and i smelled some smoking smell. (DID NOT see actual smoke, just smelled). I took all cords immediately off and waited little bit then looked the computer and smelled and the weird Smoke Smell came from the Cable. Then i got a new cable and put it in my PC and computer turned on and said something about "Overclocking Error", i clicked F2 or What ever. Then computer restarted went to bios looked normal everything to me and then i restart again and computer went normally to windows everything functions normally. But my question is is there a way any of my components (CPU,GPU,MOBO) Got damaged? I did not smell anything from PC only the smoke smell came from the Cable.

TD;LR
If the cable was defective is there a chance the unstable power or something could damage the components?

I wouldn't run that computer, I would find out what caps smoked and change that component.

The computer itself did not smoke the cable did. (I DID NOT SEE ACTUAL SMOKE but i could smell it from the cable.
There was no smoke smell nor smoke inside the computer.

If the power cable was damaged it probably was loose, then you managed to short it by manipulating it. The power supply should have protected the computer in the case of a surge.

A bit disturbing the BIOS seems to have wiped itself.

It is possible the power supply was damaged, but if it is still running I would just take a back up of the PC for now, your important files mostly, and continue to monitor it. Do not leave it on unattended.

If you are truly concerned, I would start shopping for a new power supply to be on the safe side.

Ok, well if the cable was what burnt, which I kind of doubt unless you found it melted. There has to be a reason why it melted. That means either there is too much voltage going through it or a ground problem. That needs to be run down.

I have other very old PSU laying around from old computer should i use that it is like 500W or 600W

The usual reason for such things is a poor quality power supply.
Exactly what make/model is your PSU and what graphics card is installed?

With the exception of the PSU, it sounds like all of your components are fine. If any of the other components were damaged, then you would certainly know.

Your power supply uses poor capacitors so I would personally get an XFX 650W or Seasonic 620W power supply.
